One of the greatest benefits of an IHEA membership is the resources to help member companies and their customers navigate change. Beyond the main goal of industry education, IHEA feeds members with news and guidance on developing trends, economic outlooks, and market events. The past year ushered in significant transformation, marked by major shifts in the political climate. IHEA introduced the inaugural Industrial Heating Decarbonization SUMMIT to help members and markets navigate rapid developments in renewable energy, energy management, and environmental stewardship. The excitement from the successful event is still going strong as IHEA works to bring fresh insights and valuable resources to the forefront.

The Industrial Heating Decarbonization SUMMIT brings together industry leaders, innovators, and professionals to discuss the pathways to become more sustainable and explore ideas and resources for the industrial heating market. It serves as a vital platform for learning, networking, and advancing knowledge in a rapidly evolving climate. With its high-level presentations, interactive discussions, and invaluable networking opportunities, the SUMMIT is an essential gathering for those charting a path toward a carbon-neutral outcome. Planning is already underway for the 2025 Industrial Heating Decarbonization SUMMIT scheduled for September 29-October 1 in Indianapolis, Indiana, promising an even more dynamic and impactful experience.

The SUMMIT program includes an influential keynote address, resources to begin decarbonization, a look ahead at various technologies that can also help with decarbonization, case histories and a panel discussion on decarbonization collaboration, networking with industry leaders, and a tabletop exhibition that showcases a variety of companies to assist with low-carbon solutions.

IHEA Sustainability Webinar Series

With the popularity and success of IHEA’s Sustainability Initiatives, IHEA continues the Sustainability Webinar series in 2025.

“The IHEA Board of Directors feels there is a strong need to continue providing valuable information that will assist our industry in navigating sustainability issues,” said IHEA Executive Vice President Anne Goyer.

The series is on the third Thursday of every month with an occasional exception for holidays.

IHEA’s Sustainability & Decarbonization Webinar Series focuses on carbon producing heating processes and provides methods to optimize their efficiency and thereby reduce their carbon emission intensity. The webinars cover the various scopes of carbon emissions and the methods to determine your site’s or your specific equipment’s carbon footprint. IHEA will be adding new webinars and details for each one, so check back often for additional information. All webinars are free. Reducing, Converting, and Trading to get to ZERO Carbon, March 20: “Net-zero” refers to a state in which the total amount of GHGs emitted into the atmosphere is balanced by the amount removed from the atmosphere or offset through various measures. Achieving net-zero emissions is a critical component of decarbonization. This webinar will explore options to trade, convert, and reduce the carbon footprint in process heating.
