Better energy management and improvement of process efficiencies remain at the top of manufacturers’ minds. These contribute to decarbonization while ultimately saving the company money. IHEA’s 2nd Industrial Heating Decarbonization SUMMIT, scheduled for September 29-October 1 in Indianapolis, Indiana, has been designed to help companies continue on their path to improve process heating while reducing carbon emissions.
Highlighting the program are six case studies from companies such as Nucor, Timken, and Siemens, along with a series of presentations that will help every company in attendance further develop and communicate their decarbonization plans. Tabletop exhibits from leading companies will enhance the experience, giving attendees the chance to learn about products and services that are decarbonization focused. A closing panel will share their companies’ decarbonization implementation plans that will send attendees back to their plant with valuable insights into what other companies are doing.
To review the complete program and register, go to summit.ihea.org/program.html. There is a registration button at the top of each page on the SUMMIT website. Be sure to also make your hotel reservation now as well.

Sailing into 2026 – IHEA’s Annual Meeting
One of IHEA’s most important events is its Annual Meeting. It’s one time each year the membership can come together, take in a variety of presentations on important issues, work on IHEA initiatives in committee meetings, and enjoy social activities.
IHEA’s Annual Meeting in 2026 heads out to sea on Celebrity Cruise Lines’ Reflection January 26-30. We will sail out of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. This will be the fourth time IHEA will hold its annual meeting on a ship. There are numerous reasons to hold this meeting onboard Celebrity’s Reflection. First, you can control the cost because cruise pricing is all inclusive for your stateroom, food and beverages, taxes and port fees, and crew gratuities. This allows members to select their pricing based upon their stateroom. It also allows IHEA to keep the registration fee low since food & beverage is covered in the cruise fare. The registration fee is used to cover non-member guest speakers and staff.

Unlike hotel contracts, there are no attrition costs involved with cruise contracts. We simply pay for the staterooms sold. There are no minimums nor maximums. The dates selected for 2026 were determined in hopes of avoiding other industry events and finding the most reasonable week to hold the meeting.
There are two ports of call during the meeting: Key West, Florida, and Celebrity’s private island at CocoCay. CocoCay will allow for some great beach activities. Meetings and other group activities will be each morning and all day during the sea day.
Chris Kuehl, IHEA’s economist, will be a featured presenter at the Annual Meeting and a variety of additional speakers will deliver timely and important content our members want to hear.

“What’s really interesting about holding our Annual Meeting on a ship is the fact that members spend considerably more time together on the ship than on a land-based event,” said IHEA Executive Vice President Anne Goyer. “From dinner through evening entertainment, members have typically gathered together in the evenings. On land, groups of members often go their own way for dinner. The ship environment definitely provides more networking among members.”
Registration for the Annual Meeting will open very soon. Watch for an email with details. Mark your calendar and plan to join us from January 26-30, 2026, aboard Celebrity Reflection.
