Solar Manufacturing shipped a Mentor® vacuum furnace to a customer in the Southeast United States that services the defense industry.
The Model HFL-2018-2IQ features a graphite-insulated hot zone, a load weight capacity of up to 250 pounds, and a maximum operating temperature of 2,400° F. The Mentor vacuum furnace will be used to age harden precipitation hardened stainless steels and beryllium copper.
“We provided a complete turnkey solution to our customer,” said Dan Insogna, Southeast regional sales manager for Solar Manufacturing. “We delivered the Mentor furnace along with a water system, and the recipes for the heat-treat cycles their materials require.”
