Following the completion of the consolidation of the Seco/Warwick Group’s U.S. companies, the organization in the United States is entering the next stage of development.
Donald Marteeny, who has been associated with Seco/Warwick for many years, is assuming the role of managing director of Seco/Warwick USA. Piotr Zawistowski, who has led the U.S. organization to date, is joining the supervisory board of the Seco/Warwick Group, where he will oversee its continued development in the North American market.

The Seco/Warwick Group’s changes to the management structure of Seco/Warwick USA are a natural succession step and another phase in streamlining and strengthening the group’s presence on the United States market. The decision follows the earlier merger of the group’s two U.S. companies: Seco/Vacuum Technologies and Seco/Warwick Corp., which have operated under one brand — Seco/Warwick USA — since 2025. The consolidation simplified the operating structure, increased organizational efficiency, and enabled better use of the group’s engineering, manufacturing, sales, and service potential in the United States. Now the U.S. organization is entering the next phase — with a new operational leader and strong supervisory support from Piotr Zawistowski.
The change in the managing director role also carries symbolic meaning. For years, Piotr Zawistowski has developed the group’s U.S. business, continuing the work of his father, Andrzej Zawistowski, one of the co-founders of Seco/Warwick’s history.
“Seco/Warwick’s history has always been a story of people who know how to combine technology, responsibility, and long-term business thinking,” said Andrzej Zawistowski. “Changes within an organization are natural when a company matures, grows, and prepares for new challenges. I am pleased that, after years of growth led by Piotr, the time has come to hand over the operational helm to someone who knows this organization, its customers, its team, and its technology very well. This is proof of continuity, not a break from the direction we have followed so far.”
The new managing director has been connected with the Meadville organization for many years. Marteeny has progressed through the company from engineering and project roles, to management positions, and ultimately to responsibility for operations. His experience covers both the technical foundations of the business and the management of processes, teams, and projects delivered to industrial customers. He has been with the organization since 2008, when he started as a project engineer. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University.
“Don knows the organization from the inside out, understands the technology, and knows how important quality, on-time delivery, and customer trust are,” said Sławomir Woźniak, CEO of the Seco/Warwick Group. “After the consolidation of U.S. companies, we need leadership that stays close to the operations, the team, and the market. I believe he will bring energy, decisiveness, and a highly practical perspective to the continued development of our presence in North America.”
Seco/Warwick USA remains a key part of the group’s global structure. The U.S. organization is responsible for serving one of the world’s most demanding industrial markets while developing capabilities in vacuum technologies, service, local manufacturing, and the implementation of solutions from the group’s portfolio.
In his new role, Piotr Zawistowski, who has managed Seco/Warwick’s U.S. organization to date, will support the group’s management board in sales and the strategic development of the group on the North American market. He will also help strengthen the connection of knowledge, resources, technological assets, and competencies between Seco/Warwick USA in Meadville and Retech in Buffalo. This is particularly important in the context of the group’s continued development of its American pillar, which encompasses both heat–treatment technologies and advanced vacuum metallurgy solutions.
“I congratulate Don on taking on his new role and wish him every success,” said Piotr Zawistowski. “At the same time, I would like to thank the entire team for their years of intensive work, especially for their commitment to the consolidation process and building a stronger organization. By joining the supervisory board, I will remain close to the group’s U.S. business and support the continued growth of the Seco/Warwick global brand.”
Piotr Zawistowski has been continuously associated with the Seco/Warwick Group since 2005. He graduated from the Częstochowa University of Technology. For years, he has been recognized as an industry expert in the North American heat treatment market, as well as a regular speaker and thought leader in vacuum and atmosphere furnace technologies. He holds both Polish and U.S. citizenship.
The leadership change at Seco/Warwick USA is a continuation of the process initiated by the consolidation of the group’s U.S. companies. The merger of the SVT and SWC structures helped organize the company, simplify processes, increase cost efficiency, and strengthen the clarity of the Seco/Warwick brand in the North American market.
The new management model is intended to accelerate the use of synergies between engineering, manufacturing, and service competencies in the U.S. An additional element of this strategy is a stronger connection between the capabilities of Meadville and Buffalo — that is, Seco/Warwick USA and Retech — while preserving the independence and specialization of both organizations.
“First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their trust,” said Marteeny. “I have worked within the Seco/Warwick Group for 18 years, and I am proud to lead its American pillar. This is a great honor for me, but above all, a commitment to the team, the customers, and the entire group. I am taking over the organization at a very important moment — after consolidation, with a clear brand, a larger scale of operations, and real momentum. Our goal is to continue strengthening Seco/Warwick’s position in the U.S., develop operational capabilities, and consistently build value for customers.”
