Noble Industrial Furnace installed two custom-designed electric high-temperature (2,175°F) batch furnaces with gas fired retention chambers at a leading aerospace company’s facility.

Testing results for these single zones furnaces confirmed temperature uniformity of +/- 10° during the two-day testing period at maximum processing temperature with a skin temperature not exceeding 100°F.

While on site in Q1 2021, Noble’s trained team provided full installation services and equipment training. As most companies affected by the economic impact of 2020, the customer had to adjust production and process demands for this equipment since the original order date. Noble easily modified the equipment and software at the time of installation to accommodate these changes.

Specifications include silicon carbide U-bend heating elements, 12-inch ceramic fiber modules with added exterior skin for insulation, gear driven vertical lifting guillotine door with required safety, and a Honeywell HC900 PLC with 10.4-inch operator interface (HMI), with an Eclipse ThermJet medium velocity burner heating the retention chamber.
