PMS Alüminyum San. Tic. A.Ş. has added a Nitrex nitriding system to enhance its production capabilities and meet the increasing demand for high-quality profiles across multiple industries.

As part of its expansion strategy, PMS Alüminyum made the strategic decision to bring nitriding operations in-house. Previously outsourcing this process, the company recognized the advantages of streamlined logistics coordination, long-term cost savings, improved availability of ready-to-use dies, and faster turnaround times. Moreover, the growing number of dies to be treated made in-house processing a more viable and cost-effective solution.
The Nitrex pit-type furnace, model NX-1020, equipped with Nitreg® controlled nitriding and Nitreg®-C controlled nitrocarburizing technologies, provides PMS Alüminyum with advanced capabilities for processing H11 and H13 dies. Leveraging these cutting-edge technologies and customized recipes ensures superior performance and extended lifespan of the treated dies, ultimately resulting in high-quality extrusion products.
The installation of the Nitrex system took place in November 2022 as part of a comprehensive project to expand PMS Alüminyum’s manufacturing footprint. The company constructed a brand-new facility to house the turnkey system, extrusion press, and powder coating lines. This strategic investment enables the company to efficiently service dies from all presses and effectively meet the growing demand for its aluminum profiles.
