Can-Eng Furnaces International, Ltd., has prepared the shipment of an 1,800 kg/hr Continuous Mesh Belt Heat Treatment System for an established, existing customer in the Piedmont region of Italy. Can-Eng is committed to supporting manufacturers of high quality, safety critical fasteners around the world, which was the primary reason Can-Eng was chosen again for their second capacity expansion. This European project is the fifth installation for this producer of specialty fasteners with operations in Europe, South America, Mexico, and the U.S.
The producer chose Can-Eng, a Niagara Falls, Ontario company, to supply this system based on proven reliability, efficiency, and soft-part-handling features; hallmarks of Can-Eng’s Mesh Belt Furnace Systems. The high-volume fastener system integrates energy efficient combustion and waste heat recovery technology, atmosphere-controlled mesh belt hardening system, oil quench, post wash system, temper furnace, soluble oil system, bi-directional conveyor discharge, and Can-Eng’s Process Enhancement Technology (PET™) system. Can-Eng’s PET™ system provides the user with access to vital Industry 4.0 features that includes product traceability, detailed process data for continuous process improvements, comprehensive equipment diagnostics, cost analysis, and inventory management.
The system integrates Can-Eng’s Energy Reduction System (ERS™). The system will be commissioned Q2, 2022 to meet the clients’ performance and capacity expectations.
