Can-Eng Furnaces International, Ltd., Niagara Falls, Ontario, has made a major investment in its Plant #2 Operations, St. Catharines, Ontario. The expansion will consist of adding 45,000 square feet of modern manufacturing space and 18,000 square feet of future office space.

The manufacturing space will be outfitted with the most current fabrication, assembly, and testing equipment needed to enhance the flexibility, capacity, and to better serve the changing needs of its global thermal-processing equipment customer base.

This expansion will double the current floor space available and integrate enhanced overhead lifting capabilities to accommodate larger thermal processing systems being demanded by EV component and battery material processors.

Upgrades include the addition of two thirty-ton and two twenty-ton overhead cranes to accompany the existing large capacity units presently in use. Planning for future expansion efforts has been considered during the design process that include foundation and utility upgrades.

Construction is underway and is expected to be complete May of 2025.
