Heat Treat Furnace Technician (Experienced)

Multiple openings for EXPERIENCED heat treat furnace technicians for in-house fabrication and repair as well field service work.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY – To assist in the fabrication and repair of industrial thermal processing equipment such as vapor phase coating systems, burnout ovens, heat treat furnaces, and conveyor systems.

JOB DUTIES include, but are not limited to:

  • fabrication and repair work as directed by supervisor of custom designed thermal processing equipment used in the aerospace, tooling, firearms and heat treating industries
    • welding (stick, TIG, MIG)
    • insulating (ceramic fiber blanket, modules)
    • bricking (insulating fire brick, refractories, castables)
    • piping (air, gas lines)
    • wiring (furnace control systems)
    • CAD drawing (ability to read drawings and/or work with autoCAD/Solidworks)
  • field service work on all brands of heat treat equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot industrial heat treat furnaces and related equipment
  • Provide immediate suggestions and repairs to resolve issues
  • Work effectively with customers to address concerns and provide necessary technical assistance to correct irregularities or poor performance of equipment. Convey steps allowing for customer to prevent or address issues effecting production rates.

This position requires travel throughout New England. Occasional long distance and overnight travel will be required. Transportation to customer facilities is provided by Noble Industrial Furnace.

Hours are 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

High school diploma or GED

Valid driver’s license
Industry/Technical training in related field and applicable work experience

2+ years work experience background preferred. Individuals with HVAC and residential furnace experience are encouraged to apply.

Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Background check and drug testing is mandatory for full time employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: starting at $25 – $32 per hour, depending on experience
