Olga (Olly) Rowan
is a senior engineer in the Advanced Materials Technology division of Caterpillar Inc. She received her M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University (2004) and Ph.D. in Materials Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2007. She joined Caterpillar in 2007 where she has been working in heat treat R&D, production support, and supplier development. Rowan has co-authored two articles in the 11th edition of the ASM Handbook Vol. 4A (2013) and published 19 peer-review journal articles and conference publications on gas atmosphere and vacuum carburizing, heat treat process control, and optimization.
